We know that communities depend on us to be responsible, ethical, and provide tangible benefits that extend beyond our offices and job sites.
From involvement in local chambers of commerce and backing annual Teacher of the Year celebrations to sponsoring children’s homes and local first responders, we provide support to organizations that create positive impacts on others. Volunteer opportunities are emphasized, with staff organizing toy drives to special holiday shopping events for those in need; our employees make time for others. Southland Holdings also supports the advancement of educational outreach, with our engineers donating their time to elementary, middle and high school, and college mentoring. We know that a love of construction often is sparked at a young age, as it has for many of us. Our volunteer work also transcends international borders, with the support of Bridges to Prosperity. Focused on delivering safe, reliable suspension bridges in remote areas, Southland Holdings, through subsidiary American Bridge, has built bridges for communities in Africa and Central and South America. These spans provide sustainable connections to commerce, education, medical care and daily life for thousands of people.
