The Sea Terminal project in Barcadera, Aruba was awarded to American Bridge in 2013 by the Aruba Ports Authority. This $22M project involved the construction of a new 500-foot bulkhead wall, the rehabilitation of a 1,160-foot existing wharf, and land reclamation. American Bridge constructed a new steel bulkhead combo-wall that was anchored by soil anchors and concrete coping. Having this new structure backfilled, American Bridge was able to expand the current port. Along with building the new combo-wall, American Bridge repaired the existing blockwall wharf with new concrete coping and tie-backs. Additionally, the scope of work included two mooring dolphins and marine furnishings, as well as dredging and underwater rock protection.
